Attitude is Everything

Hi I’m Hope. I’m a Holistic Life Coach, a REALTOR®, an educator, presenter, a Zumba Instructor a mom and a blogger. I’m what you call a “multipreneur“. I’m sure a lot of people think I’m a crazy for taking on so much, but haven’t you ever had such enthusiasm about something you just couldn’t wait to do it? Well, that’s me!

In 2002 I quit my day job (in tech development and support) and become a REALTOR®. Not because I have mad high pressure sales skills (‘cuz I don’t) and not because I thought it would be an easy paycheck (‘cuz it isn’t). I became a REALTOR® because I’m passionate about home ownership and helping people.

Growing up I moved a lot. I mean a lot! By my 19th birthday I had lived in 18 different residences. 15 rentals between the ages of 6 and 18. What are most kids doing between the ages of 6-18? That’s right, they’re going to school. Luckily many of our moves were in town moves but I still attended 7 different schools in 5 different states.

But this isn’t a “poor me” story. It’s a story of inspiration and hope (no pun intended). Through these experiences I learned the importance of stability and of establishing roots. Since purchasing my first home at 24, I’ve learned a lot. I’ve learned to appreciate the joys of arranging furniture, painting a wall, planting a garden, installing flooring, and making a meal with my family in my own kitchen. And I was able to give my children something I didn’t have.

I believe in designing a life worth living and I’ve done exactly that! My hobbies include teaching Zumba Fitness classes, growing organic produce in my suburban garden, home organization and remodeling projects, reading (or listening to) as many books as I can get my hands on, yoga, weight lifting, meditating, working with crystals, cooking and laughing with with daughters while we cook together.

Although growing up, my family endured functional and socio-economic challenges including the loss of my father at the age 11, I remained an optimist and developed an outlook that allowed me to thrive despite my circumstances.

I’m also a two time cancer survivor and although neither was fun, I truly believe that with every challenge I have an opportunity to “learn a lesson”. I’ve had the honor of sharing my cancer journey and the lessons I’ve learned with others through my blog and public speaking.

“Her her quick  wit, ingenuity and outlandish sense of humor sets her clients at ease as she guides them to their own discovery process of finding their purpose, overcoming challenges and living joyously balanced and peaceful lives.”

I received my holistic life coach training through an intensive hands on program with Radiant Coaches Academy in Nashville, TN and am passionate about guiding my clients through their own self discovery process.

Teaching Zumba classes has allowed me to connect to so many people from all walks of life. Combining easy to follow dance fitness choreography with a great music is a recipe for fun. It’s all about the Zumba Love. Zumba Love means everyone is welcome and everyone is accepted – all ages, body types, skin colors, religions, orientations, and even those who think they can’t dance. Participants come to class to get fit, but come back because it makes them feel good inside and out! I’ve been teaching since 2010 and hold an AFAA Group Fitness Certification.

I also love growing organic fruits and vegetables in my little suburban garden, cooking, writing and listening to books on audio in my car.

I know it’s a lot, but my life wouldn’t be complete without all the great things I get to do everyday!
